Problem: Clients connecting to WiFi network have direct access to the Internet without being redirected to the landing page. Causes: 1) The unit is connected incorrectly. The most common cause of this problem is that the UseMyNet unit is not connected correctly. The single port marked "Internet" on the back on the WRT54GL must be connected to your Internet router or cable modem . If you inadvertently connected one of the four LAN ports to your Internet connection it can cause this problem. Resolution: Please reconnect the unit correctly as detailed in the manual. 2) Your Internet router or cable modem has the IP address 10.0.0.1 By default clients connecting to the UseMyNet unit are given an IP address in the 10.0.0.x range. The default IP for the captive "LAN" side of the UseMyNet unit is 10.0.0.1 - If your Internet router or cable modem has this IP address then it can cause this problem. Resolution: Please change the IP address of your Internet router or cable modem to a different range. |
